Gary Wilson is the founder and President of Zuma Engineering & Research, a small,  minority-owned company that provides engineering and management services in support of high technology programs, acquisitions and joint venture projects (www.zumaengineering.com).  He is a consultant to the Ashcroft Group, providing expertise and advice to our clients with an interest in national security programs. Wilson also supports West Coast clients for the Ashcroft Group out of his Los Angeles office.

He has more than 20 years of experience developing, executing and managing high technology programs. His experience covers a wide range of engineering and information technology fields; from system component design and manufacturing to complex system engineering. Wilson’s diverse background in satellite, remote sensing and C3I systems is complemented by his extensive business operations knowledge.  Prior to founding Zuma Engineering and Research he was Vice President of ATK Mission Research Space & Sensors Sector - an advanced technology division within Alliant Techsystems (ATK) where he had profit and loss responsibility.   He has also held management and engineering positions at Mission Research Corporation, Boeing and TRW where he supported national security programs.

Wilson holds A.B. and B.E. degrees from Dartmouth College.   He has a M.S. degree from California State University Long Beach, and has also studied in the Ph.D. program in Electrical Engineering at the University   of California Los Angeles.   He is an active member of IEEE, AFCEA, SAE, AIA and AIAA.
